Costumes

There are 3 characters that will feature within our clip, each have very different personalities.
- a girl who is the victim
- a man walking his dog who is an innocent victim
- a mysterious man who's identity is never revealed who is the culprit/creep stalker.
The costumes used within our opening will play a very important role when portraying the characteristics of the characters and will help make then distinctive and separate them apart from each other.

The man who's face is never seen will be wearing all black clothing, as if he doesn't have an identity. Black is a colour which is usually associated with an authoritative and powerful figure as the colour can be overwhelming when there is too much and evoke strong emotions. I personally relate people who wear all black to be mysterious and slightly dull and boring depending on the clothes and styles that are worn. I think that he should be wearing an all black suit or something a long them lines such as a long sleeve black top and black trousers. A person who wears all black could be seen as misleading and even important. Also all black clothes can be related to criminals and essentially that is what the man is. We also wanted him to be a character who is unknown.

The second man character is a essentially only a dog walker who just happens to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. His clothing isn't as significant as the other characters however what he is wearing will describe his characteristics, so he must be dressed in casual clothes, an outfit which you would walk a dog in and he needs to be portrayed as a friendly character as well as innocent.

The final character in our thriller opening is the young girl who is also the victim. As her hand is an important role in our opening we want her to have something recognisable on so we can always tell when it's her. This could also be a significant part to the reason why she died. As she is a teenage girl in our thriller we do want her to be dressed as an average teenager to give the impression that she lives a normal life but while doing this she needs to have her own personality.
